Welcome to my classroom, my name is Miriam McClendon and I'm the 5th Grade Bilingual Teacher at Patlan Elementary school. It's my first year teaching at Seguin ISD. I'm originally from El Paso, TX. In 2004 I moved to San Antonio, TX where I earned a degree in Psychology from the University of Texas San Antonio.  My certifications include EC-6 and bilingual education supplemental.

Bienvenidos a mi salón, mi nombre es Miriam McClendon y soy la maestra bilingüe de quinto año de la primaria de Patlan. Es mi primer año enseñando en Seguin ISD. Soy originalmente de El Paso, TX. En el año 2004 me moví a San Antonio, TX donde obtuve mi licenciatura en psicología de la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio. Mis certificados incluyen EC-6 y supplemental bilingüe.

Daily Schedule

7:45-8:00 --- Breakfast

8:00-8:50 --- Specials

9:00-9:15 --- Positive Action

9:15-10:15 --- Language Arts

10:15-10:30 --- Recess

10:30-10:45 --- Read ALoud

10:45 - 11:30 ---  Reading and Literacy Time

11:30 - 12:15 --- Intervention

12:15 - 1:00 --- Science

1:00 - 1:15 --- Recess

1:15 - 1:45 --- Lunch

1:45 - 2:45 --- Math

2:45 - 3:15 --- Math work time

    Rules and Procedures
    • Be respectful and responsible
    •Follow all directions the first time they are given.
    • Keep hands, feet, and objects to self.
    • Go directly to your assigned seat.
    • Sit in your assigned seat, with materials every day.
    • Keep spoken and written comments classroom appropriate.
    • Leave the classroom the way you found it.
    • Water bottles are allowed.
    • Special attention for CDC guidelines- a mask must be worn at all times and proper use of hand sanitizer will be   available before and after class.
