Welcome to the AJ Briesemeister Toro Choir!
The Toro Choir represents AJ Briesemeister Middle School in Seguin ISD. The choir performs a variety of music throughout the year for parents, the community, and around the Seguin area. Performances this year will be streamed online for at least the Fall, but we anticipate a collaborative production of "Moana Jr." with Mr. Tommie Jackson and the AJB Toro Theater Department in the Spring.
The Toro Choir represents the amazing, musical talent of nearly a third (210 students) of AJ Briesemeister Middle School. Students in the AJB Toro Choir also represent the school in the AJB Band, Theater, Cheerleading, UIL Academic teams, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, and Track. Last year, each choir received a Superior Rating in at least one of the two categories at the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Competition. Varsity Treble received a Superior in Sight Reading (and a 122 in Concert), Junior Varsity Treble received all Excellent ratings, Sub-Junior Varsity received their first Excellent rating (2's), and the Men received a perfect score in both Concert and Sight Reading.
This year, the Toro Choir program is looking to continue their success at competitions, as well as develop strong bonds and leadership skills within this choral family.
Be on the lookout for recordings and blog posts about all of our experiences this year!
