Seguin High School, a dynamic 5A high school, is a campus where the administration, teachers, students and staff prescribe to one simple mission: SHS=Student Success!

Seguin High School has a rich tradition of producing successful students in areas such as academics, athletics, band, and career and technical education. The success of the students is due in part to the dedicated faculty and staff who will believe and carry out the mission of student success. As the Principal of this high school, I feel that my main responsibility is to give the school the structure to produce successful students in all walks of life that graduate from Seguin High School. These structures include Professional Learning Communities (PLC's) for our faculty to engage in meaningful conversations about improving student performance. In addition, our Language Ambassadors Program target ESL/LEP students by providing each with faculty case managers.  Our AVID and Early College High School programs focus on preparing for post-secondary success by emphasizing college readiness skills.

Finally, the school has many interventions built into the schedule, such as Virtual Learning, EOC enrichment, and Industry Practicums, which further provide the platforms for student success.

The vision of Seguin High School is to become the standard of excellence for transformative leadership, teaching, and learning in the greater San Antonio area, the State of Texas and beyond.
